Night Ledger prepares personal tax returns for people nationwide, and an Enrolled Agent prepares and reviews every one. You can start online in the evening, with no appointment.

Do I need an appointment to get my return done?

No. You create your account in our secure client portal, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents whenever suits you. If you would rather talk it through first, an Enrolled Agent is available from 4 PM to 2 AM Pacific, Monday through Saturday. See evening tax appointments.

What does the process look like?

1. Start your return. Create your client portal account in a few minutes.
2. Upload your documents. Your W-2s, 1099s and anything else the questionnaire asks for, straight into the portal.
3. An Enrolled Agent prepares and reviews your return. If anything is missing or unclear, we ask you through the portal.
4. You review it, sign it and pay. We file only after that. Nothing is filed before you’ve read it.

Who prepares my return?

How much does it cost?

It depends on which forms your return needs, so a simple return costs less than a complicated one. You’ll know the fee before we start any work.

When can I book?

Appointments open soon. They will run from 4 PM to 2 AM Pacific, Monday through Saturday. In peak tax season, appointments are available seven days a week. In the meantime, our FAQ answers the questions people ask most.
